From Jeff Koch "I started throwing in 1976 when I went to a black powder shoot and saw some buckskinners throwing axes. After learning to throw an axe I wanted to throw a knife and I saw an ad in a magazine for Harry McEvoy's Tru-Bal knives." "I wrote him many times and ordered his books, many of his knives and finally learned to stick them. I didn't throw hardly at all in the late 80's due to job changes. In 1991 I went to the Blade Show in Knoxville, TN and met Harry McEvoy and Dan Dennehy who gave throwing demonstrations there. This got me interested in throwing again and I wanted to try some new designs I had in mind." ![]() "The following pics are from my personal collection, ALL compliments of Jeff Koch. Jeff makes the best throwing knives I've ever thrown. They're beautiful to look at and can take a beating :-)" - Scott Gracia The following throwers range in size from 12.5" to 18". The larger knives are all 3/16" thick while the 2 smaller throwers (12.5") are a whopping 1/4" thick.
