I turned one of our bedrooms into my new winter knife throwing room. The above picture is of a wall in the throwing room. It's a little small, (12.5ft. from the targets to the wall) but its a great time. It'll do until it warms up. Then its outside to the 2 and 3 turn throws and bigger targets. I can't wait! For these targets all that was needed was about 20' of steel cable and ends, 8 eyebolts, 2 "S" hooks and three log rounds. All of these, except for the log rounds, are available at local hardware stores. I screwed 2 eyebolts into the ceiling then hung the "S" hooks from them. Screw the other 6 eyebolts into the 3 log rounds. 2 in each piece. I put mine at about 10:00 and 2:00 on the log and it seems to hang fine. Measure how high you want your targets and figure out how much cable you will need for each. Each of the 2 end logs will have one piece of steel cable running from one eyebolt to the other. Leave as much slack as you need to get the targets at the desired height. Then hang them from the "S" hooks that are in the ceiling. For the middle target you make 2 separate pieces of cable. One to each "S" hook in the ceiling. If you have any pictures you'd like to share, you can send them to: Scott Gracia It's free, and there's no obligation. |
